An Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic must have an intimate knowledge of physiology and disease process. They are trained in all EMT-Basic and EMT-Intermediate skills plus training in cardiac monitoring, defibrillation, cardiac pacing, pediatric and neonatal resuscitation, and drug therapy for a wide variety of medical emergencies.
